Mom & Tot Strollercise 


Are you a mom (or caregiver) who wants to get back into shape?
Are you a mom (or caregiver) who wants to get out of the house?
Are you a mom (or caregiver) who wants to meet other moms (or caregivers) like you?

If you answered yes to any of these questions - then Mom & Tot Strollercise is for you!
This fabulous fitness activity allows moms (or caregivers) to spend quality time with their little ones while taking some important time for themselves.
WHY MOM & TOT Strollercise?
- We know that sometimes the only way you can work out is if you have your kids with you. Instructor may have 1-2 children with her.
- We will be doing a full work-out near one of the playgrounds so the kids can have fun while we do!
- A variety of resources will be brought to each workout for the entertainment of the kids (colouring, balls, bubbles, pails, shovels etc) but it is your responsiblity to watch your children during your workout - KIDS COME FIRST!
- If kids are old enough to participate, appropriate activities will be encouraged for them, but you will be required to sign a waiver on their behalf. Fitness is FUN for ALL Ages!
- Children between 6 weeks and 4 years are welcome to join you. They will need to be in stroller for first 10-15 mintues of class for the warm-up portion. Please be sure to bring snacks and anything your child might need.

We will be working out at Waterloo Park. Please meet in the Waterloo Rec Centre parking lot near the main entrance bike rack.
Please be sure that you and your children are dressed for the weather!
 
Cost
6 weeks: $50.00
 
 
- Missed classes cannot be carried into the next session. Refunds will not be made for missed classes.
- Classes may be cancelled / times changed by instructor if absolutely necessary - an email will be sent 48 hours in advance.
-  Weather plan below. If rescheduled classes cannot be attended, no refund will be provided.
 
           
Important Info
What do I need to bring? 
  • Stroller – any kind (does not have to be a running stroller!)
  • Weights - either 3lb, 5lb or 8lb depending on your fitness level 
  • Water bottle (large - especially during summer months)
  • Blanket or towel (large enough to sit on while on the grass)
  • Sunscreen, hat, stroller rain cover
  • Whatever your baby/child needs (water, snacks, hat, toys, etc)
Weather (Rain Plan)
If it is already raining, class is cancelled and will be rescheduled. Check your email for cancellation confirmation at 8:45am.
If it looks like rain, we will still plan to be outside, dress you and children appropriately.
If it begins raining while the class is in session, the decision will be made as to continue or reschedule.

When can I join if I had just had my baby?
Please be sure to have permission from your health care provider before joining our class. It is highly recommended that you wait a minimum of 6 weeks following delivery before initiating an exercise program. It is VERY important that you listen to your body, and participate when you are ready. Please contact us to discuss your individual circumstances.
